This is the website of Wes Ewell’s personal interests, which include building and paddling kayaks, building scale models and creating line drawings and watercolor paintings of equipment and structures related to the two-foot gauge railroads of Maine, as well as the long-defunct Suncook Valley Railroad of New Hampshire. My intent is to occasionally post drawings, photos and comments related to these interests for the benefit of others who share them. I am a writer and illustrator, retired from a career of community planning, real estate development and construction project management, currently living on Cape Cod. Thank you for logging in.

Great site! I just got a shearwater hybrid kit, my first boat. I can see how this can become an obsession. I just wanted to say hello. I’ll be checking back soon. You’ve done a beautiful job on the merganser.
