Bikes and Biking 2015

March 1, 2015 – Snowed In

This has been a record winter for both snowfall and low temperatures on Cape Cod, so I have not been out yet. Hoping to make up for it later on my new VO Camargue, a steel frame 29er set up for long, leisurely, multi-day rides on unpaved rail trails and canal paths. For the whole back story on this bike, see https://twofootartist.com/dirt-trail-camargue-bike/.

April 12, 2015 – First Ride of the Year

biking selfieFinally we have a day with sunshine, moderate temps, and little wind on Cape Cod. My friend Kathy and I pedaled five miles on the Shining Sea Path between North and West Falmouth.

It was my first time on a bike this year, and Kathy’s first ride in more than three years due to a knee injury. Still haven’t tried the Camargue yet, though.

This photo is my first attempt at a selfie.

April 15, 2015 – Strange Critter

Another gorgeous spring day on the Cape, so Kathy and I played hooky from work this afternoon and biked another seven miles. We found this strange critter lurking beside the Shining Sea Path in West Falmouth.

June 14, 2015 – Nesting Swan

Perfect biking weather today: sunny, warm, dry, and no wind. Saw this nesting swan just off the Shining Sea Path in West Falmouth.
