This is the website of Wes Ewell’s personal interests, which include building, restoring, and riding bicycles; building and paddling kayaks; building scale models; and creating line drawings and watercolor paintings of equipment and structures related to the two-foot gauge railroads of Maine, as well as the defunct Suncook Valley Railroad of New Hampshire.
2024 Update: I am now 83 and unable to enjoy these interests the way I once did. I sold my kayaks and will be breaking down my bikes and selling the parts when I get around to it. I can no longer draw due to an essential tremor and have sold off most of my railroad models and tools. I still do some work with my Sherline lathe and mill, however, and I actually get paid to write a bi-monthly opinion column for my local newspaper. You can read those columns at my other website, http://www.wesleyewell.com.
Please enjoy everything I have posted here, and I will be glad to answer any questions you post. -Wes
